Seventeen is the 3rd most popular kpop group currently, but it is easy to forget it!

That is because they didn't have this huge jump in popularity, they never had that one song that got them big. They don't have that moment when their sales skyrocketed. Seventeen have been ever since debut slowly, but surely gaining more and more popularity with each comeback.

That silent growth has now made them the 2nd most popular kpop group and they are still getting more popular! My babies are amazing!

To celebrate this, have this utterly beautiful video of Seventeen's first win! This is in my opinion one of the most emotional 1st wins I have seen and I love it!

Honestly I didnt think they were apart of the big three, I thought they were alot smaller becuase of how low the views are on all the mvs compaired to BTS and EXO. But i have heard that the Carats are a weak fanbase so i guess that does explain it a bit more.

It's not that carats are a weak fanbase. It's because Carats are mostly Korean and Japanese, both of which for the most part don't use youtube + those 2 fandoms generally aren't obsessed with streaming!

Looking at physical sales and concert venues, Seventeen is a clear 3rd.

Ahhh i didnt know that. I looked at a few people talking about it and most said that Carats are a weak fanbase. I didnt know how little fans they had in the west. I did hear that their fanbase was huge in Japan though.

That is compared to BTS's Face Yourself selling about 330k in Japan and might I remind you, face Yourself is a full album, while Happy ending is a single. I would say there is an argument to be made about Seventeen being as popular, if not more popular than BTS in Japan.

Thats amazing! im proud of the boys. Might need to do a bit more research if i didnt know this. I knew the fandom keeps growing each comeback but I didn't actually know how many of us there were.
