I was just watching a vlog by this channel The Chatwins where one of their triplets gets a third-degree burn in a fire accident, so I thought I'd ask you guys about YOUR childhood injuries.

Mine (well, one of them - I was super-clumsy as a little girl... I still am, actually lol) was a fire ant sting when I was six. I was playing around in my front yard in my first childhood home in Marietta, Georgia, when I saw this random pile of dirt and decided to play in it. Well, it wasn't just a pile of dirt, it was a fire ant hill. My parents weren't fazed by my screams at first, not bc they didn't care but bc I was known to be a real screamer back then lol, but when they realized what was actually going on - good Lord, did they feel bad! But luckily, despite being stung so many times (there were millions of those little monsters!), I recovered quite quickly. I did have some scarring from it, but nowadays (almost three decades later), you never would've guessed I'd even been stung.

So yeah, what about y'all?

I never got seriously injured, the worst was probably when i fell down and slid a bit and my knee just looked fucked up but it wasn't that bad

When i was little beautiful angel (dont remember how old i was excatly) i had this incident. I was blowing bubbles and my mom had given me some fugly plastic cup to hold the soap and because i am a visual king i really wanted an glass bowl. So this absolute visual legend went and got himself that damn glass bowl and i ran back to the washing room to blow bubbles but i had spilled some soap on the floor so i fell with the glass bowl. I tore my elbow up and it cut to my bone and tore everything on its way and now i have nerv damage on it and my right hand doesnt work well and it hurts quite often.

When I was nine I fell off a wheelie bin and broke six ribs. Nothing much else to say except it wasn’t my finest moment in life, and I was pretty badly winded for a while.

I'll just say me tripping, getting a knee scrape when I was running away from a mad dog that was on the loose

Was in fifth grade: fell of a counter when getting a snack for my brother who was too lazy to get one himself. It hurt but I ignored the pain and went to bed. Woke up the next morning completely unable to walk. I crawled to the bathroom. My parents were confused as to why I was crawling. My dad took me to the hospital. I tore a major ligament in my foot. Iwas on crutches in the middle of a Canadian winter. Even now my walking isn’t perfect because it didn’t heal quite right

idk if it counts as childhood but when i was 15 i was hanging out with some other kids that were living in my neighbourhood and one of them threw a bottle at me which left a bruise on my thigh that looked as if i painted it purple on purpose

Spoiler: in case anyone wants to know more about that bottle throwing situation

she wasn't really a part of our friend group or anything, in fact she was just a classmate that one of my friends brought here because she was living far away and needed to wait over an hour for her bus so we spent some time hanging out together. there was no place to go near so we were sitting at a playground and she spent half the time bragging about the terrible reputation she has at her school, then she said her throat hurt from the talking so i let her drink from my water bottle and then she ran to the bus stop, and while running she threw the bottle at me and it hit me as i was sitting on the ground

i rarely get injured but i guess the worst childhood injury ive had was when i was playing with my friend on a scooter and my friend tripped and ended up falling on me, giving me a fractured arm

i was always very careful as a child so i never really got any bad injuries? my sister once threw a pen at my face and it almost stabbed my eye tho so i guess that was a close call, my mom was sooooo pissed

Needed stitches right under my eye, but thankfully they are barely visible anymore

My cousin threw a hubcap like a frisbee, and it hit me in the face.

• fell off a bike, had a huge cut
• tripped and hit my face on concrete stairs... busted my lip and a few of my teeth got chipped

I used to pretend to be a lion, would get down on all fours and run down the hallway full speed. One time while I was doing it my pinky toe got stuck in a milk crate and it broke to where it was facing all the way to the side.
I ended up breaking the same pinky toe a few years later and now it’s extremely sensitive.
