I have seen this conversation popping up frequently. I personally think there should be a cap to how many times you can win because there are some weirdos that get in and make it really uncomfortable for idols. However I do see the benefit, especially for smaller groups. They get to see fans overseas which they probably wouldn’t have a chance to otherwise. I just think some kpop fans need to learn ettiquite. I also think idols should be able to hang up if they begin to feel uncomfortable.​

I don't really know the logics on getting to participate, but it probs involves a lot of money.

It is a huge pro tho that int fans are able to have some face to face talk with their idols, especially if they live in an area that their group doesn't cover in tours (cough Europe for 127 cough)
I do think there should be some form of moderating

There was a fan who got 60 fan calls with San
They themself put out clips of their calls and San would say stuff like "I know you." "I'll probably see you tomorrow."
And he looked visibly uncomfortable every time.

That cap is necessary or just ban certain individuals.

Yes it does involve a lot of money, number if albums purchased equals more chances of getting into a fancall

Its a nice way to get way more ppl involved with a chance than the in person fan signs.

All fan signs have the same issues especially with the same ppl getting into many

I don’t think theres anything inherently wrong with fan calls or any reason they gave to be stopped. Execution can always be improved

if the determinant is albums bought = chance of winning a fan sign/fan call then obviously buying more albums or group buys are going to mean more chances for those people - it's pure probability
no different than any other form of raffle whereby the more times you enter the greater the chance of winning

if the issue is rude or malicious fans well the idol can try to cancel or blacklist said fan with the company's support

if the issue is merely discomfort - well that's just a part of the business

the issue is then on companies for creating maybe a set of rules or guidelines for fans to partake in said fan calls - maybe there are those in existence or maybe there's not
