After all, all my mom said was my brother (who said he considered himself one of the dumbest at his internship, it's a high level internship) should compare himself to the girls at the internship rather than boys if he wants to feel smarter. My brother had made no previous comments about girls or guys and their abilities, he just said the others (in general) were much smarter than him. And she can't figure out why anyone might think that sounds kind of sexist and starts asking questions like "is it sexist to say there's more female teachers than male" (while making no assumptions about the ability of men to teach) and stuff like that.
