Here is Soompi's article with that on comments from military: Military Manpower Administration Explains Seungri’s Enlistment Status

In response to the news, a source from the Seoul Regional Military Manpower Administration once again confirmed, “Seungri received his draft notice, so it is true that he is enlisting.”

Regarding questions about his enlistment amidst ongoing investigations, the source explained, “Unless an arrest warrant is issued and he is imprisoned before his enlistment, he is required to enlist. However, the investigation will not conclude, and the investigative authorities will continue the investigation in partnership with the military.”

Another source of the Military Manpower Administration said, “Recently, celebrities and children of influential figures who enlist after causing societal disturbances have separately been under special management,” and added, “If Seungri is found guilty of any charges prior to his enlistment, the military can delay his enlistment.”

He apparently had been trying to enlist through the Army, into a police academy position.
He's since pulled out of his test and applying for it, given the circumstances and in an effort to not create misunderstandings.

I...don't have much to say on that, other than his timing is either really, really poor or there's of course more to all of the back and forth surrounding this (not just him but BS, police corruption, Mr. Kim and the alleged assaults, etc) that have been going on.

As a side note, Mr. Kim has been cleared of the prior charges against him - apparently, he was telling the truth in his having the BS staff and police beating him and trying to help the women and not assault them etc.

Yeah, regardless of Seungri's involvement with the club (like, all of that aside and not in the equation), the club itself was clearly just a place that harbored bad things - not like club atmospheres aren't primed and ready for that sort of misbehavior, shady dealings, drugs, etc etc, but this just becomes another statistic at this point.

I still don't really know what's going on involving Seungri, considering there's not really been any solid evidence in regards to anything, but it's hard for me to fathom he didn't at least know a little bit of what was going on, considering he not only frequented the place but also had investments in it (granted, this isn't to say a place you frequent and have invested in, you will know everything about; I go to Disney a lot, have stock shares in it, and used to work there, but even so there are lots of shady things I don't know about the company - however, it's a larger company, and I'm not close to those that are the CEO/higher ups etc, nor a celeb so....there's also that).

It's become quite clear though, that Burning Sun needed to close, and thankfully it did.

Also in regards to the Mr. Kim innocence thing - SUPPOSEDLY it hasn't been 100% cleared/dropped, I guess? That's just the information that's being translated from many international fans/news sites, from what JTBC said (which is also having their CEO under investigation for abuse or something of the sort at the moment? I don't keep up, so don't take much of what I say in this regard as factual knowledge x.x)
