So, I’ve seen a lot of artists branch out and even ones from well-renowned groups are releasing back-to-back comebacks (more so than as a group even). It’s makes me happy to see that they can branch out and do their own solo work. I think it will inspire other artists in Korea who feel if they are ‘confined’ to being in a group rather than taking their own route, to eventually do so one day. It’s never a risk as long as they are happy and are having fun.

It's really cool to see members from like SVT coming out and doing their own solo music. I hope more and more get that chance to show musical colors that they not be able to show within their group

Does it really count/ matter if it does not chart. Charting is the measure of trend success.

and so far lately
just iu
summi
bol 4
taeyeon
and i guess rose

have charted well, right?

physical sells are fine but they are zero indicator of how its going over in Korea with the vast number of int sales now.

It's nice to see more idols doing solo stuff, that's best way to get ur own creativity and sound out there. And it's good for their future as well, groups don't last forever and I feel bad for those idols who didn't get solo activities at all, they are left with nothing after the group disbands.

I don't think it's as much of a trend as it is that a lot of groups are now reaching the part of their careers where branching out whether it's continuing to do music or going into something else like acting is good for their career is happening at once.

It can be easy to lose track of just how old some groups are but even Blackpink are coming up to their 5th anniversary this year which is the time that a company should looking at branching out and building their individual brands as it'll help in the long run.
