If I had read/watched/listened to her solo instead of reading abt BoA (n Rain) in the 2000s, I mighta stanned her n gotinto kpop WAAAAAY earlier than I did. Then again lack of understanding of korean language (n being b4/early days of youtube), maybe not.

There was not much awareness in S.E.A. (at least not to me) any Hyori in the 2000s, only BoA n Rain in English speaking circles. Too bad as ithink she coulda been rlly popular if we(english speaking ppl) had just known/watched/listened to her b4 2009's Gee exploded in awareness, which dint seem to expand awareness of Hyori since she was technically, or practically an Ahjumma in 2009. Such a missed chance for me to know abt her in her heyday.
