How long do you think is normal to greave the loss of an inanimate object or toy?
I ask this because I remember watching a movie with a woman who [around 60 years after the fact] threw a tantrum when seeing the person who broke her toy... It seemed odd to me.
I personally do not recall having my toys broken.. but when I was 10 I had a dog for around a month [something more precious than a toy] and ended up having to give it away for reasons that are personal and I'd rather not get into. But I don't recall having an extended period of grief and most certainly wouldn't be angry if I were to see anyone associated with me "losing" that dog.. The only caveat I see is if the toy or object is symbolic or if their deceased friend, family member, or parent gave it to them and it meant something of a memento to them, such as finally beating Ocarina of Time meant more to me as I remember playing it [and failing to beat even the first boss] with my dad.
