i have a class in a few hours where we had to turn in a group assignment. my friend was gonna research and i was gonna draw and make all the graphics. yesterday at night i asked her if she could start and send me the information but she told me last minute that she was sick. what can i do?
1. not do the assignment, explain the situation and ask for an extension
2. do the assignment, explain the situation
3. do the assignment, tell the teaacher i did it on my own and my friend didnt bother to research or tell me she was sick beforehand

With the info I have, I feel like if yall can't get an extension and you had to do it all, you can say that. The teacher will decide what they want to do with that information.

I mean, I do think you should be transparent with the teacher about it. Friend or not, it was a group project and it sounds like you're doing all the work right now.

Though some teachers would put the blame on both of you, so saying it just like that might backfire.
How about "my partner got sick last minute and didn't do her part, so our assignment is incomplete." You're still telling the teacher that you're the only one who's worked on it.

That's just me though. There might be a better way to go about it.
