i mean yeah on one level it is somewhat amusing, thinking of what they'd rename to (the boys? the guyz? the menz? the boiz? the new boyz? - which imo would be odd considering they have a member with the stage name new), but on the same time i hope we don't forget that losing your group name is a big big loss. the members lose all the branding, the recognition they had with their old name, and also any sentimental attachment they may have had. and also ofc this means they may not get to perform their old songs,,, which is a really shitty position to be in. i hope they get the rights to their name and their songs
