Satyricon

Through time, to the waters below
My song, for the silence above
The spirit of promise, on the table of stone
Under my skin—all the life you have ever lived
Seal the law
And pierce through the haze of time
The Ghost of Rome
No life lost behind that veil—just the death of broken hearts
The Ghost of Rome
At night, in the temple we lost
One throne for the kingdom forlorn
The waves of North—No tail broken it is
Over the wall—Veins rush from hate never trapped
Seal the law
And pierce through the haze of time
The Ghost of Rome
No life lost behind that veil—just the death of broken hearts
The Ghost of Rome

They aren't really black metal anymore, really only was on the first couple of albums.
But these lyrics though....

@Bookworm

I would call them more hard rock these days....
at least I still have darktrhone for black metal numbers.

Long live Norway or Nordic countries in general <3
Push on vikings!

Thanks for introducing me to Satyricon! The guitars are so sinister and the operatic crooning is a nice haunting touch. Those are powerful lyrics too o_o What do they mean to you? Because I'm struggling with my own interpretation ^^ Still awesome though.

Also, have you ever heard of Myrkur?
No I haven't. Whey do they hail from and genre?
They mean to me a lot of things, but basically life and death is my interpretation.
like the beauty of life and death more strongly.

Black and folk metal fusion from Denmark. Amalie Bruun is the woman behind the project. It's not a band.
Oh reminds me Primordial. Irish, but did black and folk fusion also.
It's a good mix when done right.
Otherwise it can be quite tiresome to listen to.

Oh yeah, definitely. It always makes me think of black-green decks in Magic: The Gathering XD Also, an Irish black-folk metal band... o_o *heads to youtube*
I found the album I wanted you to listen to. : / To the nameless dead it;s called.
