Welcome back.![]()
Kinda sorta? Idk how active I’ll be, but I is back. How have you all been? Any exciting things going on for any of you? How are you liking the releases so far for this year? I’m extremely behind (per usual)
I’m doing alright, I left for mental health reasons and I don’t plan on going into detail with things but I’m working on improving my mental health a lot this year. I’ve just begun therapy and will soon be working towards getting medication, side note, did you all know that in some places you’re required to be going to therapy or you can’t be given medications from a psychiatrist? That was a not so fun hurdle for me because I’ve never liked therapy.
But less serious stuff, I got a few books and a BTS blanket for my birthday, chickens are doing great, my kitten Felix has grown so much (and is the descendant of the Tasmanian devil (cartoon character)), tuxedo cats are very hyper kitties.

As for Kpop releases as I said earlier, I’m extremely behind, I still haven’t listened to the majority of my faves bsides from last year nglBut I’m currently (slowly) catching up. Ten’s mini album was one of the best things to happen for K-pop and that is your fact of the day.
Now I shall go explore all the threads and see what I’ve missed.Great to be back with you all! I’ve missed it here.

Welcome back Wingfrost!!
Thank you bothWelcome back.

Hi WingLitc!!It’s great to see you again!
I left at the end of January I think? I hope you’ve been doing better
My primary care is kind of the reason why I’m having to do it this way because she was technically able to prescribe me something (and had done so in the past)but refused to do it because she wanted me to get therapy.I could have technically maybe found a different primary care but it took forever for me to find her so I just didn’t want to prolong something that needed attention asap if that makes sense.
Oof I understand that, my mom finally found out that she had adhd after all this time. It definitely seems to take a long time to get a diagnosis in certain cases.Hi Wingidk if I'm doing better honestly, but at least I got a break from school (because of medical leave but still)
I'm trying tho
Ah well I guess it depends on what it's forfor a lot of things for example anxiety and depression medicine would be a last resort, or only after talk therapy/in addition to, as opposed to the very first treatment instead of having any therapy first, and I honestly think that's reasonable
for me personally, the medication I was trying to get was for adhd, and so the psychiatrist told me I could get it from primary care cuz it'd be cheaper, and for adhd definitely medicine is the main/first treatment if it's serious and basic techniques don't help (I was diagnosed as a minor tho, so that's another thing with overdiagnosing and overmedicating minors, but I really needed help and my mom didn't want me to take stimulants or become reliant on medicine for a long time)
but I think definitely it should be diagnosed by psychiatrist not a primary care, my pediatrician didn't even do the test, and the school forced me to go to a psychiatrist so I was lucky to be able to get diagnosed bc public schools and the medical system ...
But the medicine really helps me for sure (the dose is honestly prob too low, but it's so out of stock that I'd like to have at least smth) but I was still doing so badly with like everything and so I really needed to come home and have a break from collegeso after talking about what I was like as a child with my dad, the psychiatrist thinks that I'm also autistic on top of the adhd and wanted me to get testing to confirm it, but regardless of that, I really needed to leave/needed help so at the very least I'm trying therapy for that, but having both would explain a LOT, it seems literally parents and teachers suspected since I was little, but again like ADHD, the testing process
what I was attributing to adhd in general, was the main cause of my mental health being absolutely dead, so trying to solve it is good
I see thoI'm also thinking I needed attention asap so I'm lucky to have been sick and able to come home that way
I get the therapy thing tho, I was forced to go to various psychologists when I was like 14 for being "too shy and not talking" and I hated it but the possible autism will explain a lot
Edit:
I meant to add this but forgot

Doesn’t your brother have adhd too? I feel like I remember you saying thatOof I understand that, my mom finally found out that she had adhd after all this time. It definitely seems to take a long time to get a diagnosis in certain cases.
I hope the therapy goes alright for you, I think I’ve been to 5 sessions now and ngl I still really struggle because the whole setting stresses me out, but I think it can be helpful for me in the long run.
