is it because jpop companies are more serious about taking down content?
they are brutal and it is so hard to find stuff.

when i can find eng subs which is rare

it just sucks all the fun out of it . and is why i stopped akb watching in 2012 the first time.

Self hosting the content is possible, but they require a proxy from a dmca free country which is expensive if hosting videos is needed so that's why i guess there aren't that many sites doing it.

i feel for that channel guy he had videos with million of views.

most has tiny numbers but a few big ones like Rino Sashihara wining in 2013.
I really dont understand why jpop companies do this, don't they want jpop to go global, i think i read somewhere that they envy kpop's success in exporting globally, but why do this instead?

its short sighted to say the least.

its bad enough all the dvd / blu ray stuff is region 2 and not region free.
i still cant get a region 2 player...
