oh no i don't think so? no beverages would certainly be very tough, even if i can somehow abstain from eating. i'd certainly wait for my period that month ahah. to make matters worse, i'm a swimmer, so goodness forbid i accidentally swallow a little bit of the pool water haha (ends up happening more often than you think). though i suppose doing it right from your teen years would help you get used to it. i was talking to family friends of ours once, the husband's muslim but his wife was born hindu. i don't know whether she converted or not, but she fasts with him every ramzan. i asked her how it was, and she said "you get used to it 👍👍👍" and she definitely started in adulthood, so years of doing it, regardless of when she started, got her accustomed to keeping the fast.
there's other religious fasts i'm familiar with (but have never kept), which too seem scary. many married north indian hindu women celebrate karva chauth, which involves keeping a fast (abstaining from food and water) for the good health of their husbands - until they spot the moon that night i think. we're bengali so we don't celebrate it, but i know many who do, and it's really tough. one time my school music teacher gave me a free lesson because she felt too weak to teach. but then again that's one day a year versus one month a year, so it's all different...
