Thoughts on bringing another group's lightstick to a show? (ft. X1/Cravity) (1 Viewer)

Here's the situation:





For me I HATE seeing other groups lights.
I find it disrespectful to the artist, and I've experienced seeing PLENTY of Wanna One lightsticks when I attended the AB6IX Fanmeeting in June of this year. PLEASE SUPPORT THE GROUP YOU'RE GOING TO SEE, stop living in the past and RESPECT all the members of the group.

Also, yesterday when I attended SEVENTEEN I noticed a lot of fans brought other group's merch - a Monsta X lightstick, an ATEEZ totebag. I don't know if they're just trying to show that this isn't their first rodeo, but PLEASE only bring the lightstick of the group you're going to see.

I understand not everyone can afford it. However, for 3/4 kpop concerts I've attended in the past, there will be a fan passing out glowsticks of a certain color for you to wave around, and you also have the flashlight on your phone. I prefer this exponentially to bringing another group's merchandise.​

I also find it disrespectful. Why go to one artist's concert, then crap on them by holding up and waving another artist's lightstick?

I think people just want to reveal themselves as dumbasses to others when they do things like this.

I honestly don't think it's a bad thing to bring an X1 lightstick to Cravitys show as both a One It and a Luvity. Cravity and all other X1 members openly embrace that part of their past and don't feel like they need to hide it. I also don't think that the other cravity members would care knowing them, a lot of them were in produce x 101 too. In fact it's x1s anniversary today and many members already have referenced that they consider it to be an important part of their career so I don't think it is going to ever be an issue with X1 members.

When I went to kcon I saw seventeen caratbongs, BTS army bombs and twice candybongs and I didn't care even though none of those groups attended kcon. I can understand why some people don't think it's respectful but I think it depends for me on the context of each individual situation.

I highly doubt that because if they're willing to spend money on concert tickets and their favorite artist's lightstick, I'm pretty sure they could more than afford the performing artist's lightstick, too.

But, again, they just want to be dumbasses.

As long as the fans raise and wave the correct lightstick relating to the performing artists, it's fine.

But, we're talking about fans who seem to intentionally use other artists' lightsticks during performing artists' concerts just to be idiots and upset other fans.
