About the accent? Mmm I don't find it sexy tbh, or at least not where I live. One year here and still not 100% used to the accent. And still have my moments when I don't understand some people, but ig from other cities...

About England in general? Do I even have to say something about depressing weather?

I mean... half of the time I've been here, we were in lockdown so not much of an opinion
I'll say it again, I hate the weather. 6/7 days it's raining or it is cloudy. Not much to see around here now that the restaurants and everything is closed again. Only some parks with swans and the beach, but now it is too cold even to stay on the beach. Otherwise, a classic place with all houses looking the same, you can hear everything the neighbors are doing because of the thin walls... classic Idk, not really hyped so far, I only like the variety in stores, but that's probably because grocery shopping the only entertaining thing left to do outside the house

HOW LMAO?? But you're probably talking about southern or midwestern accents; even within America mine is boring as hell and everyone thinks that I'm from Cali despite being from New York hate it here

I prolly have a unique perspective here that is different from most Americans. There is an inferiority complex amongst my family and wanting to immerse in British culture, because of familial connection to it. I also think there is a, despite independence, giant connection between US and Britain. Look at all the good rock bands from days past. All or almost all British. Similarly, I don't mind cynicism since thats basically how I was raised. Is the glass half full? Half empty? Be lucky to find any glass since dishes be pilling up.. lol.

I find certain portrayals in mass media to be unattractive though. In some movies and tv those over 30 tend to be depicted not as sexy... but my reference point is limited.

What I've noticed is that Americans [some] find that British accents are associated with high class and aristocrat sort of mentality, which they think is hot. And there is a certain obsession with the royal family. Prince Andrew. Prince Harry [also known as @JakeyWantsCakey] and Prince William [who was quite sexy a couple of years ago] are all fawned over... Its funny because there is literally no other country that Americans have this obsession with the leaders with. Americans literally are obsessed with the Queen and will watch shows and docu series about her. I am referring to those who don't regularly watch docu series, but do because they want the tea on the queen.

Just like every other country, it has its pros and cons. Obviously I have a heavy distain for actions done by the English in the past (e.g, colonise our land, cause a famine, slaughter innocent people, etc) but I can’t hold the same grudge for the country now. I don’t have a reason to hate present day England, so I have no problem with them.
