A naked hermit crab could easily cook in the heat. So they locate shells to home himself 24/7. Finding a new home is difficult; sometimes there is a shortage of shells. Hermit crabs can be anywhere from a millimeter big to the size of a coconut. Sometimes hermit crabs will create a chain from largest to smallest, making their way to a shell that is the next size up.

The pebble toad cannot hop. Instead it crawls around searching for food. He can transform himself by tensing all his muscles to bounce his way away from danger.

The pigmy geckos have a physical adaptation that allows them to be able to repel water. They can literally walk on water. Despite their small size water isn’t fatal, they hydrophobic.

Grass cutting ants spend their days harvesting a plant thry can’t actually digest. They can carry 50X their body weight of grass, this would be the equivalent to you carrying a small van. The ants use this grass for their nest. A single colony will harvest a tonne of crop. But what do they actually eat? They feed their harvest for a fugus which helps it grow and then the ants eat this fungus. The fungus produces carbon dioxide which could be deadly to the ants, so they have created a ventilation system that protects them.
