Yeah but we try to prevent DUIs too, and its something that we humans have control over. We don't have control over the virus. People are plenty cautious about the flu too, thats why we have vaccines and usually theyre given out for free.

Well that's fine because stores are closing-that's logical but it's happening where there is nothing closing. I went into the store here in California and the tp is thinning out more then usual. Because my kidneys like to make me make trips to the restroom a lot I may have to stock up because of morons. Guess it started with Japan and rumor their TP was made in China (most of it isn't) and they were running out.Then choo choo went on and infected the idiot train.

This thing with no vaccine is no where near those numbers even in china where there are 1.5? billion ppl.
Unless China has lied their ass off and deaths are orders of magnitude greater .

This is where the young thing comes into play so far it looks like it is only the old. ie kids are surviving, flu kills a lot of kids. That why many folks give kids the shot.

This is a non issues for most, but it will be a great way to get out of school or work for awhile.

this says ~41 million ppl got the flu in the us last year. that is darn near 15 % of the pop with a vaccine (granted last year was a miss on the vaccine) deaths ~ 57k 1.4 %

This thing is contagious weeks before it presents. if it were bad the numbers would be massive already.
That is why i say less deadly than the flu. Some folks will not feel well but not very likely to kill em.

Well we try to prevent the coronavirus too just as we try to prevent duis and whatnot. Problem is so many duis only affect the person in question so its kind of hard to convince them that theyre doing it for the better of the community.

I still dont fully understand what the kids have to do with it, the flu kills a lot of kids because they dont have immunity to the virus. The coronavirus doesnt discriminate in that regard because no one has immunity which makes it more of a danger to most people that are older rather than young kids.

Also between the last post and this one they found a case of coronavirus in the town where my sisters college is so cant say Im going to 100% be comfortable with that, shell almost definitely be fine but it would still be nice if that wasnt a thing that happened.
