It's like the proper age for someone to start doing acts like that and 18 for me stills young and its like the proper age and more mature age range of one's life
And in general 21 is considered legal but then again
It's more the age appropriate people say, even my family but even if it's based on family I'd still say 21

I don’t care much about what age people decide to be sexy at unless they’re obviously too young, but if the age of consent is primarily 14-16 around the world 21 does seem like a decently big leap to me. Well yeah ofc not to turn this 18+ but when I was 14 in 9th grade the 13 and 14 year old 8th graders were having orgies apparently and in 7th grade (which is when I accidentally learned about sex) ppl were already horny and like for example this one boy was saying how badly he wanted to f*** this girl (she wasn’t in this class, but in our grade and his friend) and then someone asked if he would want to f*** me and I just said “NO WAY” and scooted my chair away before he could answer so ofc it’s not like ppl don’t think they’re sexy or wtv younger than even 18, and thinking ppl under 18 automatically don’t know or think abt anything like that is delusional

like ofc in relationships the ages of the two matter and someone finding someone attractive age matters

but under 21 is too young for me personally (well not to find attractive idk cuz ppl my age are attractive idk) and like someone much older dating someone under 21 would be creepy even if they’re legal (imo)

in California the age of consent I’m guessing is 15 bc if you’re 15 or older it’s illegal to have sex with someone 14 or younger, that’s what we 14 year olds were taught in 9th grade health/drivers Ed

There’s no nationwide law about it. In most states it’s 21 yes I believe, with there being a surcharge for those under 25. In a couple states though the rental age is 18. And ofc it varies from country to country too

The law is sometimes different for both underage, not California though. They have no Romeo and Juliette laws which as far as I know is the only variation of the law.
And yeah for sure you’re free to feel however you feel about it, if you want to and/or feel that way you could consider 80 year olds too young, even though legally it’s not the same. People have their own feelings in the matter and if no one’s being harmed by it it doesn’t matter, since there isn’t an objectively correct answer to this. I was just replying mostly because some of the information you put out didn’t match what I thought to be true from other readings.

I just looked at this and from my understanding it’s not saying anything like that, it just seems that the penalty is possibly lower if you’re within some age range. Idk if I would be able to find a better source than this, maybe it also changed somewhat between now and when you read it? Not sure.
