i was just thinking that the barrier to new fans getting into an older group is the shear amount of content.

ie the amount of stuff a person would need to be conversant in say EXO Red Velvet Twice let alone shinee ect has got to be impacting them.

where growing with a newer group is easier.

i think a lot of older kpop groups have very welcoming fanbases that actively search new fans
