CHOI HYUN SUK of TREASURE Gifts JUNKYU 20 Pieces of Clothing? Goes on ‘Fact Check’

[OSEN=박판석 기자] CHOI HYUN SUK of YG’s rookie group TREASURE went on a fact check to prove his statement that he gifted JUNKYU a lot of clothes.

On May 26, YG Entertainment revealed the ‘Fact Check-JUNKYU’s Closet’ through their official blog and TREASURE’s YouTube channel.

Previously on the ‘T-TALK’ video, CHOI HYUN SUK has stated, “I gave JUNKYU about 20 pieces of clothing”. CHOI HYUN SUK appeared with a determined look and headed towards JUNKYU’s room to prove his statement.

JUNKYU was surprised by CHOI HYUN SUK’s unexpected visit and nervously asked, “What’s going on?”. CHOI HYUN SUK who wandered around JUNKYU’s closet asked, “Where are all the clothes I gave you?”, which JUNKYU responded with a relief after figuring out why CHOI HYUN SUK visited his room.

CHOI HYUN SUK was surprised by the number of clothing in JUNKYU’s closet, which was more than expected. JUNKYU showed off his ‘clothing confidence’ by stating, “It’s just that I didn’t show it until now, I have a lot of clothes”. CHOI HYUN SUK adored him while looking at JUNKYU sweetly.

The two members’ tiki taka chemistry shown throughout the fact check made the video even more interesting.

CHOI HYUN SUK asked, “Where are the clothes I gave you during TREASURE BOX?”. JUNKYU answered, “Yes?” with a surprised look, but found a shirt gifted by CHOI HYUN SUK. JUNKYU was so happy to find the shirt that he even clapped, while CHOI HYUN SUK made the people laugh by mischievously stating, “I asked because I saw it”.

JUNKYU held a ‘purple sweatshirt’ as the first fact check evidence, while CHOI HYUN SUK expressed his true friendship towards JUNKYU by explaining, “Me gifting a purple colored clothing means that I’m giving out a part of me”.

JUNKYU also showed off his Hawaiian shirt and vintage pants gifted by CHOI HYUN SUK as birthday gifts. JUNKYU then made fun of CHOI HYUN SUK by adding, “He gave me a lot of clothes, but it’s a lie that he gave me 20”. With the tables turned, CHOI HYUN SUK apologized, “I’m really sorry”, making the viewers burst into laughter until the end.

‘Fact Check’ is a corner which the members fact check the things TREASURE members have said or things which the TREASURE makers are curious about.

Meanwhile, TREASURE confirmed their upcoming debut in July. While currently on a full-scale debut project, TREASURE is meeting the fans through various video contents including ‘Fact Check’, ‘TREASURE MAP’, ‘A 3 Minute TREASURE’, and ‘TMI’. Furthermore, BANG YE DAM of TREASURE is planning to release his solo single in June, prior to the group’s official debut.

BANG YE DAM of TREASURE Confirmed to Solo Single on June 5th, “A Surprise Gift for the Fans”

[마이데일리=명희숙 기자] BANG YE DAM of group TREASURE will release a digital single as a solo artist.
According to YG Entertainment on May 27, BANG YE DAM will release a solo digital single, as shown on the teaser poster.
The song’s title is not yet unveiled, but the date and time ‘2020.06.05 6PM’ was clearly marked in the poster. The poster also noticed that he will release a digital single along with an official music video.
In the photo, BANG YE DAM presented sentimental vibes. Him staring at somewhere with an expressionless face passed on lonely emotions to the viewers, raising curiosities on the song.
TREASURE’s logo shown at the bottom of the poster, which connects 12 shining dots which form a shape of a jewel also grabbed the viewers’ attention. It is BANG YE DAM’s solo single being released, but the logo makes the viewers realize that his essence and movements are still shared with TREASURE as a group.
YG has recently revealed, “BANG YE DAM’s solo single will be a surprise gift for the fans” and explained, “TREASURE, confirmed to make debut in July, will release 3~4 new songs until the end of the year”.
BANG YE DAM has won second place on ‘K-Pop Star’ Season 2 back in 2012 when he was 11 years old and signed to YG Entertainment as a trainee. [뉴스엔=황혜진 기자] He is making official debut in 8 years. It is BANG YE DAM, who let himself be known through SBS’ survival program, ‘K-Pop Star’ season 2.
According to YG Entertainment(hereby YG), BANG YE DAM will make debut as TREASURE, a 12-member boy group(BANG YE DAM, CHOI HYUN SUK, JIHOON, YOSHI, JUNKYU, MASHIHO, YOON JAE HYUK, ASAHI, DOYOUNG, HARUTO, PARK JEONG WOO, and SO JUNG HWAN) in July. They will be YG’s fourth boy group following BIGBANG(debut in 2006), WINNER(debut in 2014), and iKON(debut in 2015).
TREASURE is planning to release songs in 3~4 turns until the end of the year. It resembles the active promotion plan BIGBANG has shown back in 2006 when they first made debut, as they have released singles every month during the year.

Born in 2002, BANG YE DAM appeared on ‘K-Pop Star 2’ back in 2012 and let himself be known. BANG YE DAM presented great singing and dance skills despite being only 11 years old, which gave him nicknames such as the ‘music prodigy’ and ‘genius kid’.

BANG YE DAM’s Solo Single ‘WAYO’, Assisted by YOON of WINNER·AKMU LEE CHAN HYUK

On May 28, YG Entertainment uploaded BANG YE DAM’s digital single title poster through their official blog. The English title ‘WAYO’, which interpreted the Korean word ‘Why’ in its exact pronunciation, looked unique. The sentimental vibes of the poster and the title of the song raises curiosities on what kind of stories and hidden meanings the song contains.
Meanwhile, the writers and composers of the song also grabbed the people’s attention. YOON and LEE CHAN HYUK, the senior artists of YG who have shown amazing capabilities in writing·composing have been included in the lineup.

According to Billboard’s recent charts(May 30th) announced on the 27th(local time), TREASURE was ranked at no. 40 on the ‘Social 50’ chart.

What surprises everyone is that they are the fastest K-Pop group to enter the ‘Social 50’ chart. It also signifies that TREASURE is receiving a lot of love from global fans, although they are yet to make official debut.

YG’s Rookie Group TREASURE, Prank Camera→Reveals Group Choreography Performance in Practice Room

[OSEN=이승훈 기자] YG’s rookie group TREASURE captivated the global fans’ hearts with their pure and bright charms despite abrupt situations.
On May 29 at 12 PM, YG Entertainment uploaded episode 20 of ‘TREASURE MAP’ through their official blog and TREASURE’s YouTube channel.
The video showed a record of a prank camera on the members of TREASURE. It was an opportunity to take a peek into the members’ daily lives and attitudes on staged situations.
Firstly, the way to work prank camera began to see how TREASURE reacts when the staff members are carrying heavy loads in front of a broken elevator. The members of TREASURE approached the staff members without hesitation and carried their loads. Their perfect manners shined, even making the prank camera test look shameful, and warmed the viewers’ hearts.
The members then discovered multiple cameras placed in the training room and became suspicious. But they were relieved to hear that “It’s to film the usual training room vibes” by the staff and made the people laugh with their pureness, by eye-contacting and presenting smiles toward the camera.
JIHOON soon realized it was a prank camera test and began checking out suspicious circumstances with the members. The staff members were flustered and informed them that they’ve ordered burgers to distract them, and the members yelled in joy as if they’ve forgot about the suspicious situation, which made the viewers laugh.
TREASURE’s glamorous performance skills were revealed as well. The production team requested to film the choreography they’ve learned yesterday for a fake filming. Although the members were concerned and stated, “What if we get it wrong”, they’ve presented an amazing group dance with their light footwork, putting the viewers in awe.

The second prank camera test began. The test checked how the members react when the cookies said to be baked by the production team were handed out, and they taste bad. The members could not say they taste bad and ate all the cookies. YOSHI who took a big bite made a surprised look but began making favorable remarks such as “The chocolate inside is good”. CHOI HYUN SUK also stated, “This is my taste” but did not put the cookie into his mouth, making the viewers burst into laughter. The members even said, “Thank you”.
For the third prank, the members were informed that each member will shoot vocal practice scenes for 20 minutes. The test looked into TREASURE’s reaction when a survey event call offering a 30,000 won voucher in the convenience store was received.
JUNKYU answered all questions politely, while BANG YE DAM began the conversation naturally without hesitation, making the viewers laugh. On the question asking who you would like to be in the future, BANG YE DAM sincerely replied, “I’m sure of this. I wanted to be a singer since I was young. I would like to give out positive influence for the world with my songs”.
Lastly, a situation was staged which a foreigner walking by began running after snatching the members’ phones. JIHOON, MASHIHO, YOON JAE HYUK, ASAHI, BANG YE DAM, HARUTO, and SO JUNG HWAN quickly realized that it was a prank camera test, but CHOI HYUN SUK stood immobilized, shocked that his phone got stolen. YOSHI, JUNKYU, DOYOUNG, and PARK JEONG WOO ran towards the foreigner as fast as they could, making the viewers burst into laughter.
In the cookie clip at the end of the episode, JIHOON and BANG YE DAM’s ‘practice karaoke’ content was previewed. It was a ‘90’s music special’ which noticed the two members’ powerful vocals and great chemistry, which raised the fans’ anticipations.
TREASURE has confirmed their upcoming debut in July. While currently on their full-scale debut project, the group is getting closer to the global fans through various video contents including ‘TREASURE MAP’, ‘TMI’, ‘Fact Check’, ‘A 3 Minute TREASURE’, and ‘T-TALK’.
