I don't get offended when people refer to me as they/them but other people get offended when we don't use their pronouns when they don't use mine as well? even more confused now :/

because everyone reacts differently to a situation, we're not all one collective hivemind.

someone with a past of getting purposefully misgendered will tend to be more agitated than someone who is cis and doesn't experience getting misgendered often, regardless of intention or not. it's what happens when you react based off your past experiences. as long as you make your stance clear to someone and clear the air, it will be OK i promise.

yeah, it's best to try to disconnect from influencers for the most part. i dont know those people but i will say, (this goes for literally any big influencer) some people could be being extremist on purpose either for entertainment or to get a rise out of people for more engagement/views/etc. and definitely try not to make generalizations on a whole group of people lol.

there's a difference between someone transitioning because of gender dysphoria and the people who transition (majority MtoF) to gain access to women spaces to do some not good things to women or even just for clout/rage bait....
I honestly don't care if you want to transition or feel the need to as you can't feel comfortable in your body but it pisses me of to see so many people popping up doing it for clout, to get into women spaces, gr00m children, and just be plain inappropriate Abt it (a few would be Lilly Tino, Jeffrey Marsh, that guy from the bachelor, etc)

There are already laws against those things that people would be worried about like a man transitioning to a woman and sexually assaulting another woman versus a non trans woman doing it to another woman is still sexual assault and is a crime regardless the same as grooming children it is a crime regardless of gender. These laws do nothing in the grand scheme of things but punish people where none of those thoughts ever cross their mind as a man who thinks about sexually assaulting a woman is already thinking about breaking the law so more laws aren't going to make them 180.

Even the sports aspect of the transgender topic is a non issue because womens sports aren't being dominated by trans people to begin with and even so there are athletic commissions already to decide on those so the government isn't needed to be involved in the process. Male to female being the majority doesn't really change anything since that could always fluctuate as time goes by but female to male would if anything be a bigger issue with a ban like this as then those people now have to use the female bathrooms based on birth assignment.

It is that you inherit the Y chromosome as soon as the zygot is formed but the gene on Y chromosome secretes a hormone later on which leads to the degeneration of a duct which would turn into fallopian tubes if the baby was XX. In female embryos the gene doesnt exist so the duct remains. Idk who put it that way but as a medical student it sounds odd if someone in the US government said that.
