I’m sick of people singling out solo stans as being “toxic” or “the worst kpop fans”…it just doesn’t make sense and dismisses how bad group Stans can be too

when it comes to kpop stans on social networks i feel like kpop youtube should have the reputation that kpop twitter has. these people are disguising hatred as criticism, one video after another with literally nothing good to say i n any of them and on top of that there is the big following they have with people who act like everything those youtubers say is a fact. if you don't like anything kpop has to offer why bother creating a whole channel dedicated to it? keeping up with groups just so you can say every comeback of theirs "tanked"?

One thing that bothers me about the kpop industry/fandom is when something bad happens like this, we can't blame the artists themselves. Like when a song has horrible lyrics. But when they break gender norms by wearing skirts, for example, it's the idols choice and we praise them. Kinda a double standard.

I love this male idol, I do. I even bias him, but sometimes I feel he tries a bit too hard to enforce his “sexy” image, and it makes me cringe so bad.
He’s a grown man and can do what he likes and I have nothing against that. But I just think his efforts at being what fans would call “hot” are a bit extra and forced. Still love him though

'feminist' gg stans are the worst. They'll call themselves pro-women, enlightened feminists but then bash bgs and bg stans at any moment given. Like, that's not feminism you're just being a cunt. sometimes kpop stans get too comfortable with their idols.. I mean like they.. they make 'jokes' about them that most people wouldn't find funny at all.
