I don't actually mind or even care that k-pop songs are "getting shorter" or have short songs because in my opinion and experience, there are way more worse k-pop songs that are longer than short ones, like for example 98% of the b-sides for red velvet and shinee* are awful to listen to, it's like the musicial equivalent to the sinder 1000 page google doc or any vtuber google doc for that matter, lol.

*now I haven't listen to every shinee song/album since I only heard songs from before 1 of 1 or the story of light, wow I can't even remember if I heard 1 of 1 or not on stream, lol .

Kinda creepy how many pervs are into Kpop. I stated I am a male and don't like seeing my group exposed or put into skimpy outfits especially after nearly 3 malfunctions because of the incompetent stylist. Dude replied back to me "Bullshit, you are not a man. No man would say he doesn't want to see a beautiful woman's *ss and she should cover it up. Nice try though." so yeah...

Gotta love how these new kpop fans think an idol has control over what they have to wear during events especially when they are just a few years into their debut. Then when you don't agree with how exposed they get over in America, it's suddenly "they are grown bruh and wear shorts this isn't Korea, all idols wanna be sexy". Try first learning about Kpop more and the said idols before coming back at me with that stereotype crap.

Idols need to be protected more. It isn't okay to force these things on them. What I find very crazy is the fact these companies get even more wild as soon their idols get near 19 years or 20 years. The body language of some idols too, shifting uncomfortable in their outfits, pulling on their skirt trying to get it lower. Meanwhile they also have to dance in these outfits. I'd love to see the stylists in some cases in the very same outfits doing the same choreo onstage, see if they'd feel comfortable.

I wish I could be more into male groups tbh, but for some reason I will gravitate towards girls more, and just end up stanning them the most. And lately that stresses me out in some cases.

I am so tired of seeing children get sexualized and harassed from gross men and women who can't wait until these kids get older just so they can thirst over them even more. If you're okay with this then you're part of the damn problem

The trend of putting idols in sexualized outfits/concepts as soon as they hit 18 is SO creepy. Like the trend of idols performing Park Ji Yoon's "Coming Of Age Ceremony" when they turn 18 is so creepy. It's a bop of a song and I think my ults slayed when they did it but it stills sits so weirdly with me.

On a side note, I'm just gonna say my actual hot take: KATSEYE's costumes, concepts and choreo are too sexualized for a group where one member is STILL A MINOR and the others aren't that much older. I get it's partly their choice but it's overplayed, like the butt slapping in "Gnarly" was SO creepy and it doesn't mean it's right for their company to let them do this on this larger scale.

Adding onto this: Bring back groups only working with one or a group of producers, whether international or Korean (the examples in my head are all Korean, Onf has Hwang hyun from Monotree, Stayc has Black eyed Pilsung, Zb1's last few singles had Kenzie, etc.) Many labels throw their groups' discography to the wolves hoping for something trendy, like the short duration of songs we're seeing, without thinking on what they can do better. This doesn't mean groups' discographies can't be consistently good, but we know they can be consistently great, and the fact that labels nowadays only want to work with big names instead of up-and-coming producers within the country (or outside) just shows how many executives don't care. K-pop gets the leftovers from the West now (we can argue they always have, but I like to think it wasn't a problem since the both the demo and the song were developed, thinking Run Devil Run and Juliette), not music tuned to a group's image (or image tuned to a group's music), and that should change.

I actually disagree since I don't like k-pop songs should over 3 minutes 30 secs long unless they are doing something weird/experimental or is a rap heavy group, in fact I actually think a vocal-heavy/focus group (which is the majority of k-pop right now) shouldn't make music that is over 3 minutes and I feel like the only ways for a k-pop group to make over 3 minutes song is either weird experimental or like songs with a 16 bars rap verse.

but groups who does work with one or a group of producers do exist, especially the rookies groups (CORTIS, 82MAJOR, KIIRAS, NouerA , AHOF and Young Posse are all examples of that).

I know that Young Poose isn't a rookie group but my point still stands.
