I just don't understand why the focus is on the celebrity and not the vet that did the procedure. Ofc the celebrity is in the wrong, but I personally would blame the vet more, they should be more knowledgeable about the subject.

I think the celeb was the one who cut the paws and not the vet, that's why the vet is so angry

the vet here says that it was already cut when the celebrity brought the pet so as horrible as it sounds it's possible that the procedure wasn't even done by a vet

Oh, if that's the case then yeah, that's even worse. If you're going to do something inhumane like that at least do it as carefully/safely as you can

Not in a lot of countries, in the US it’s illegal in only 2 states as far as I know. I don’t know about in South Korea, but I haven’t seen anything suggesting it may be illegal there.

It should be illegal everywhere wtf more and more places are making it illegal for people to cut their dog's tails and ears so why not declawing as well??

It might be illegal now in SK but when I lived there my mom had one of our cats declawed (she was unaware of what it did to them). That was well over 10 years ago so it could be illegal now. Its a horrible practice.
