yeah mom does that too, i do it too though i've kinda associated the "yeh" with the hindi word, it means "this"!

(and that's what happens when you're raised outside the motherland but in the north)

as for an actual answer to the thread... cheesy but "bhalobasha" haha. also i genuinely can't remember if this is a word in bangla too but i like "karuna" too, it also makes for a nice name!

Karuna is not in Bangla as far as I know

idk i think i'm having a language crisis here i genuinely can't remember which word is in which language

yeh definitely is a hindi word, which means "this". though ofc i can't really see the word "this" being used as a word for "thingy" so maybe yeh in bangla is more like thingy? idk i think my mom uses it in bangla too, though i kinda always saw it as her mashing both languages us (as she often does, heck, as we all often do at home)

yeah idt karuna is in bangla, and if it is, it must not be very commonly used. still like the word though!

besides it makes sense for it to be used in bangla too cause it's one of the navrasa (others being shringara, hasya, raudra, adbhuta, bhibhatsa, bhayanaka, veera, and shanta) which is a classical concept applied to almost all classical art forms throughout the country. though again this may not apply all over idk
