what are your thoughts on survival shows (1 Viewer)

i dont really watch survival shows but from what i have seen it doesnt really value talent it only values popularity and visuals :(

Some amazing groups were formed on survival shows like Twice, IZ*ONE, IOI, Kep1er, ZB1, Enhypen…
And some of the most popular groups have at least one former survival show contestant

I don't watch them for various reasons, mainly because I don't want to be get attached to contestants, just for them to be eliminated

Kpop aint much about talent i wouldnt care abt that but am pretty sure most of them are rigged so i dont like them.

Ive only watched the ioi and wanna one seasons and i dont at least for now watch them anymore. I just dont find them that interesting

as someone who has watched all the produce seasons, i think that its a great way to get into the group thats going to be formed at the end of the show since we get to see how they are behind-the-scenes. of course, this comes with the down side of getting overly attached to a contestant only for them to be eliminated but oftentimes, that contestant will most likely debut under their company so it rlly isnt that bad as long as youre willing to wait for them. the group thats formed through the show usually has a great mix of extremely talented people (like chaeyeon), eye candies (like hyewon) and all rounders (like yena) which really gives u the best of both worlds

i do know that produce was rigged though which honestly sucks a lot bc the show had lots of great contestants and they dont make shows like produce anymore but it is what it is i guess i dont rlly watch survival shows anymore though as the survival shows they have on air now dont hit as hard & im too busy

I dont watch them but I stan the groups formed after this way I don't have to be angry at the lineups. And yeah Wanna One's debut lineup still makes me mad

I think it makes sense to edit a lineup at the end imo but it doesn’t make sense to make people pay for votes then edit the lineup without telling anyone. And that covers too many survival shows

Lol i am just now binging universe and going to write up a impression.

I love the female produce and have watched all of em since pd 101 many i streamed real time Even pd 101 China.

i despise any show run by an agency ie yg jyp hybe and will not support the show or the group. I feel agencies particularly huge ones should pick there kids and go for it not run some dog and pony show.

the charm in the show is a mostly neutral party forming a group from kids with many levels of experience and skill.

kinda a condensed version of watching a AKS member grow.

for most groups the (official) visual might not be the most popular but rarely they will be the least popular
