What defines a dead forum? (1 Viewer)

If you wanted to see what an actual active forum is like, should have been to OH back in 2015-2016. Then again, Kpop was also way more interesting back then.

Personally I like KS specially because of how small it is so I really don’t mind.

Honestly, I feel that a lot of the bigger forum sites tend to have sh*t interfaces.

Actually we do spam kpop on general though

I get shy when It's about spamming on kpop section though

When that happens in forums, I'm usually that 1

I think it feels dead because a lot of the active users have left or are on hiatus at the moment. We used to immediately get quite a few replies and likes on threads back then, but I think nowadays there is less of that. I wouldn't call KS dead at all, as there are still many active users contributing, but it's definitely less active than before in terms of engagement

It's all relative and depends on what you're looking for.

There are still lots of discussions here and tight knit of small crowd that regularly replies and has an amount of core thread activity, if slow at times.

For other things it can be subjectively dead.

For instance my bread and butter is idol specific "stan" threads. (Aka appreciation).


Those are a harder sell here because we simply don't have the numbers. You need a lot of highly motivated and interested "stans" of that specific idol, etc. To make thoSe threads worth while. And those are hard here.

We just don't have the numbers.

So from that standpoint and specific purpose it might be considered dead.

More general threads or discussions or recent trend topics tend to fare better.

It's all in what you're looking for.
