Reality What Do You Guys Think Of I-LAND So Far? (1 Viewer)

I've just finished watching the second episode and I think I'm gonna watch the third raw because I'm starting to get hooked! It's like Kpop meets Big Brother and I'm kinda here for it so far. I especially like the fact that they're choosing their own members, I feel like Bang PD is basically setting them up to be another self-sufficient group and I like that about him plus it leads to quite a bit of bitchiness here and there which makes for AMAZING reality TV. I don't have a Twitter account but I ended up on there this afternoon and saw the show taking up TWO of the trending tags so people are obviously watching the show and discussing it a lot.

I think my favourites so far are Ta-Ki, Daniel, Hanbin and Jungwon, what about you guys?

Congrats! For me I watched some of the first performances and decided that I'm all set tbh, they seemed like nice boys and all but not particularly impressive singers, so I didn't watch the new episode

Like I said, I've only just finished the second episode but I'm liking it so far as a show. I think you're right about there not being a lot of stand out vocalists but to be honest, I don't think BigHit's other main vocalists like Jungkook and Kai would stand out a lot in a survival show setting either. I don't think Bang PD is that big on the power vocals, judging by the types of singers he casts.

I'm mainly enjoying the show for the drama so far, all of the contestants are voting each other in and out Big Brother style so there's a lot of politics and strategy going on and the shows only two episodes in. I wouldn't be surprised if there's major drama that kicks off at some point, I know this would never happen on a Korean TV show but I'm kinda hoping for a Bad Girls Club moment at some point!

I would recommend it, there’s a lot of drama so far and I like it!

By the looks of things, apparently the voting starts on the 25th which means that theirs presumably only gonna this week's episode and the one next week where they announce the winners but I could be wrong...

I was not going to watch it at all, but then I just checked out the beginning of the first episode, got really hooked, and ended up finishing up to the latest episode lmao oops. I got really attached to a few trainees (which I was not expecting), so I’m definitely going to finish the show.

I definitely do think there are a lot of things wrong with the show like not giving the trainees proper training or feedback. That won’t allow them to improve effectively, and they will not know how and what to focus on and fix. It’s also pretty sad that some trainees had to stay in Ground the whole time because of the unfair voting in the first episode. In addition, I definitely think that spending millions of dollars on the building was so unnecessary. I heard that Bighit has been planning this since years ago, but considering this, the system is honestly pretty messy. I hope they make the second season better and the trainees will get actual feedback from mentors.

It’s 12 episodes in total- 6 for the first season and 6 for the second. The second “season“ starts in a few weeks I think, and it will be with the final 12 trainees out of the 23 from the beginning
