I’m watching videos of this Tiktok trend and its like “I’m a [insert year you were born] with my [your partner’s year] baby. Some of these age gaps are concerning like an ‘08 with an ‘03 ​

The older you get the less it starts mattering, honestly. It's usually only a big deal for younger people. But if you're like 34 and your partner is idk 39... no one really cares that much.

Even then an adult relationship would vary imo, I don’t have a set number really for any of them though. More so just being reasonable I feel.

Yeah, there's situations like this where maturity and just the general ick factor comes into play. It's definitely a case-by-case thing.

There was 7 years between my x wife and myself. She was graduating HS while I was still in Elementary school. I think I was I was 20, she was 27 when we married. Once adults are legal and consenting society loses it's "that's creepy" say in things. Also, the older you get the less age matters. I would totally date an 18 year old but for 2 problems. I'm ugly and don't have that much energy!

It depends how old they are. Like everyone else said, it matters a lot for teens, but it matters less the older you get.

I knew a guy who he and I were 8 years apart, we met when I was 15 and he was 23. We never dated (and I want to make it clear that “dating” was never even considered until I was 18) we just hung out because our families (along with his cousins who were my age) were close at the time. Again, we never dated, we both knew we both liked each other but because of the age difference we didn’t pursue it as we wanted different things at the time. He now has a beautiful family, fiancé and we still say hello when we bump into each other.
I think it all depends on the couple tbh, age and everything as others have said.

Yep and in most states in the U.S., anyone under the age of 14 is illegal. It doesn't matter if the other person is also a minor. If both consent to know each other's age, you will both be in huge legal trouble (the older person will be in more)
