That’s an actual song by Mozart. He wrote multiple songs, letters, and about poems about things like butts and farts. So now, classic music enthusiasts dress up in suits to sing songs with lyrics reminiscent of 8 year olds

It may have been used as an idiom then, though I think the direct translation is lick without question. But he had other works and letters that were absolutely 8 year old toilet humor rather than being a German idiom

Oh as in your dad was a fan of some Russian classical musicians? The wording made me unsure as to the meaning Im not big on classical music, but do know of Tchaikovsky, Rachmainanoff, and Shostakovich. I tend to assume everyone knows of Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy at least, just because the Nutcracker was so famous

When it comes to Mozart, I'm out. I prefer the Renaissance era and composers like William Byrd, John Dowland, Claudio Monteverdi.
