I Enjoy it cause It makes me want to get up and dance! It's so Exciting and i love it!

Well, the music(some) has meaningful lyrics behind the song. Some groups, and songs have certain concepts.

The music is also catchy. It draws me to the music or group.

Honestly, if the groups I stan/like debuted in the west, I probably wouldn’t look twice at them. However when it comes to stanning in kpop, there are no rules. For example I can go from Day6 to Rocket Punch to EXO easily and love them all with no judgement.

I have fully transitioned there are zero acts in the west that i even try to look up from about 2010 on. Excepting say legacy groups i might look for classic rock ect 1 time a month.

Same. I know nothing about western music from around 2010 onwards. Music genre wise my kpop playlists are so much more varied than when I was into western music.

This. It’s a lifestyle for me.

The proximity with idols is more there than with most Western celebrities and we can learn more about them.

And also I am mostly there because idols are multitalented and dance while singing. It’s not that common in the West and not to this extent.

I am also here for the members interactions and their group dynamic.

Kpop music is also much more diverse than Western music.

At first I was really caught up in the very upbeat music. It was sooo confusing and intriguing at the same time to see so many people in the same group, singing AND dancing.

Why I stayed though is all the interaction with fans, Vlives, variety shows, talk shows etc... Most western acts only seem to occasionally appear in late night talk shows or other not-so-informal settings, so it was pretty refreshing to see the idols just have fun and be themselves.
