Undoubtedly, it’s massively famous series And an older one so it’s had ages to circulate

The Hobbit some do not count this as part of LOTR but my og box set came with it. And the story ins integral to the lotr and understanding many why's in the first book

LotR would be my fav over 20 rereads.
Its the foundation of epic fantasy. Fair warning its almost 100 years old so pacing is different. not as bad as classics like say the count of monte Cristo ect but, its not hunger games or early potter quick( although most the potter books were legit a full school year.)
and the bulk of LORT happens in 6 months.

Wheel of Time
Dresden files
And assorted Sanderson sets.

Potter is fun and it was a fantastic gateway into reading for so many.

if i had to pick a more current fantasy series to recommend i would go with the Mistborn set goodreads from Sanderson.

The top is Fantasy/ sci fi heavy. Some are short reads. individual Dresden books are 3-400 ish. starship troopers is 200 ish.


this was my list say 5-6 years ago some books and sets . i did a this or that sort program.
i have reread the top 10 more than 10 time
