For me I usually like romantic comedies (or anything with romance), but also I really like shows that are suspenseful or action packed. I'm not really into fantasy or mecha though

Romcoms for sure. I love romantic animes sm, as long as they aren't sappy or cringy. Plus comedy makes everything so much better.

i'm also a massive fan of jjba which completely goes against that but i love it

Historical, medieval, fantasy, war, adventure, action, romance.

Generally like more mature anime.


My favorite anime of all time is Berserk (1997), which is a mature medieval war fantasy action drama with some romantic elements.

Second favorite is Violet Evergarden (2018) which is a beautiful alternative history romantic drama set during World War 1.

I pretty much almost always gravitate towards anything that has some sort of supernatural element to it, if it doesn't have any supernatural stuff in it even in the slightest then the anime has to be almost phenomenal to be able to keep my attention, whereas I can sit through a somewhat shitty anime and still enjoy it enough to finish it if it does have supernatural elements in it. All my favourite animes are pretty supernatural heavy though so even though I do make some exceptions it's still hard for non-supernatural anime to break into my favourites list~

I like some romance on the side, but not as the main plot.
I mostly love shonen, where the MC and his friends/rivals grow and mature as the series progresses.
I also like comedy, anything with good action, some thrillers etc.
