What kind of language do you typically use with people online?

Sometimes when I'm making threads or talking to people I'm not familiar with, I talk like this.
but othertimes when im making casual posts or speaking w/ people i know, i can also talk like this >:]

I guess there's not really a difference between the two but when you're online, do you tend to uphold proper grammar/punctuation, or do you let loose and speak however you want with lots of emojis and epic memes??

(Inspired by my ELA class which states I can only use informal language online )

I mean I always type all the “like” and “ahhh” and noise/filler things so I think I talk p much the same . Ig there’s a lot more ^^ and >:( and :) than irl tho lol

initially i was going to say i talk "normally" but i feel the "normal" way of talking on the internet is extremely different from me!!!
i type the way i talk in real life; i dont really like to use emojis but rather picture reactions (so the KS smilies are nice) and emoticons instead. i also dont really use the shortened words except for a few things like idk wtf lmao and tho. an internet exclusive way of talking i DO use is keysmashing LMAO
depending on the person or the topic i will use proper punctuation. (i was an advanced english student in school for the majority, id hope so sdfklsdjfg)
sometimes i feel like i come off as "too serious" so ill force myself to use emojis

Whichever way gets me the most likes... no. I mostly speak informally as my day life has me speaking in a way that is very formal so its nice to break with that. Enough people think i'm pompous. My online friends don't need to think that
