What mid-tier company would you want to debut under? (1 Viewer)

Picture it: You've trained hard and you get accepted as a trainee...... after failing all of HYBE's, SM's, YG's, and JYP's auditions, but you get accepted at a mid tier or below company to be a trainee at and debut. Which company are you choosing?

For me, I would probably choose DSP or High Up Entertainment. DSP is responsible for creating pretty much most of the idol groups that I love so I'm heavily biased towards them and High Up Entertainment was founded by producers who produced a lot of bops of 3rd gen and beyond so I'd love to debut under that company (Brave Entertainment too if they had any common sense). If you wind the clock back to 14 year old me at the height of my K-Pop obsession MBK would have replaced High Up Entertainment, but they were incapable of managing their company effectively, and I don't trust Pocketdol Studio nor M25 who inherited their staff to do any better.

DSP would be pretty good to train under. I think WM wouldn't be too bad too. In the past I would've said Woollim but they're promotions seem like a mess now...

Starship aren't mid but defenitely aren't big 3, I like to think there's an 'upper-mid' and 'lower-mid' levels to companies and cube and starship are defs in the former.

Completely agree, not the biggest fan of the music that they choose for their artists, but they certainly do seem to manage them well. I don't recall hearing anything bad about them either.

For female Starship all of them have done well. but you said too big. maybe Mystic story but that may be too small.

Oh tbh I thought The Black Label was owned outright by YG my bad. So, I'll consider that a non major company (HYBE and their sublabels, YG, JYP, SM) alongside any company that has less than a 50% share owned by one of the 4 entertainment companies.
