Last movie I *tried to* watch was Benji, that movie about the dog that gets lost and is trying to find his way home. I was watching with some friends, and one friend had to go and spoil it for me... but what about y'all?

i went to see the green knight in theaters yesterday but honestly i barely understood what the hell was going on

Jungle Cruise with Rock n Emily Blunt, it went on too long n i fell asleep ard half hr or so b4 the end; i rlly enjoyed it but find movies are too long/im getting too old nowadays n i nod off n wake up just b4 the end portion starts. Funnily i still mostly understand or i dont think it affects me watching to miss parts of it if i follow the first 2/3rds or 3/4ths as i kinda pick up wat happens when im awake again, or if i sleep past the ending-if i stream it i try n pick up where i nodded off. Think same happened during Black Widow n F9. Only F9 dint make sense cos it was too long n i dint wake up at a point early enuf to pick up wat happened-i think it was only 10~15 minutes left, n i hv no need to just rewatch the part i missed or care even, rlly.

Movies nowadays (at least action-y ones) are just too long, it seems to me. They need to tell the parts tat are kind of boring for the story to make sense/ppl to care abt the movie/story/characters, but they also feel like putting in soooo much action to make up for boring the ppl who are only there for the action. I liked Jungle Cruise's talky bits but felt the action-y/fighting bits extended past the point of diminishing returns, hence i slept thru ard 15~20 minutes (or more) n i think i dint miss much, cos all the important talky bits explaining things were earlier on. But most ppl want the last 30 minutes or so to be action packed n feel shortchanged if its not. I just think its too much/too long for me. I think Tomorrow War avoided tat for me cos the important talky bits was in the future when they talked science, but they sure made up for it in the climax/last 1/2 hr or so. I stayed awake cos the science-y talk woke me up/got my attention n made me alert enuf to stay awake till the end.
