For me personally. 2009.

I'd say it depends on being boy group or girl group as both would give you different answers likely and choosing one that is a good middle choice wouldn't give you the best of either.

I'd go with around 2015 as I'd say it was when the production quality was stronger but before you got the influx of western influence that really drove the music quality in a direction that most people seem unhappy with.

You had Twice and BTS blowing up, EXO's Lucky One/Monster, Blackpink and NCT debut, Winner's Sentimental, GFriend's Rough and Navillera, Mamamoo Decalcomanie, BigBang Fxxk It, Lee Hi's Seoulite, some great RV releases, even underrated gems like Dal Shabet's Someone Like U, and my girls IOI with Very Very Very.

Pretty tough to beat.

2012 has BigBang's Alive era and Infinite's The Chaser tho so.
