many people believe mandarin and other chinese variants are very difficult, especially for english speakers, which i wont deny as a learner myself, but as someone very interested in linguistics, i would say from what i know about it, navajo and similar indigenous american languages.
there is a reason americans used navajo as code to spread messages to each other during wwii. it is so disappointing that this wonderful language with a history is dying out.

korean, multiple korean natives admit to it being hard T_T as its current learner i can say it really is no stroll in the park T_T

My major used to be linguistics. For people who speak English or other Latin language, it is between Mandarin and Arabic. Those who speak African languages or Chinese as their mother tongue, have a harder time mastering English or Latin languages while lets say Italian might be very easy for an English speaker.

vietnamese has like five tones, thai has a really complicated writing system
xhosa and a lot of those mountain area languages would be hard for me too imo (eng/fr/chn speaker)
