not about april, but i don't think aoa's and t-ara's situations should be mentioned in the same sentence. aoa's mina was bullied for 10 years by the leader of her group and t-ara had their almost whole career ruined because of the lies spread by hwayoung.

Someone from AJAX came forward and defended APRIL.

If you look at what's been said from Hyunjoo's brother (not her supposed acquaintance) and the AJAX member it seems like there was tension within the group as a result of Hyunjoo's fragility making her skip practices and not put in as much work as the other girls who were putting in hours upon hours of effort and then Hyunjoo would just show up for the music shows and it would seem to the public like she was working just as hard as them but she wasn't-at least not to those in the company or the other members of APRIL.

Not saying Hyunjoo didn't try or work hard because odds are she did work but on her own without the group and as a team that probably caused a lot of tension and led to disagreements and hostility between everyone and Hyunjoo. Because again a group needs to work together to do well. How do you think groups like Infinite & Seventeen and Gfriend get so in sync with each other and their coordination sync well? it's because they spend hours upon hours sweating next to each other and practicing to get better and give a good show.

I can understand both sides with what we know for sure right now. It's like doing a group project and you get partnered with a person who doesn't show up to help with anything and puts in the bare minimum effort. Mostly everyone else in that group that put in effort is going to be SUPER frustrated with the one "slacker".

It's natural for there to be tension and issues as a result of that-but if the girls were downright cruel to Hyunjoo because of their frustration that isn't right either. Also, I still don't fully know what Hyunjoo's fragility was about given that she, later on, showed up on The Unit and debuted with the group. So I don't know what her health issues were originally but I don't want to make assumptions about it. But odds are her health issues led to her seeming as though she wasn't trying to her fellow members (who may be themselves were dealing with shit and didn't see it as an excuse) and that led to tension between them all and that probably solidified her wanting to leave along with her health problems.

But this doesn't seem like a cut and dry case like some of the others seem to be.

Well AOAs was over 10 years of Mina being singled out and bullied by Jimin while T-ara was Hwayoung taking advantage of the other members venting their frustrations about her publicly and that being taken by the public as them being unfairly against her and she ran with it.

Aprils just seems like Hyunjoo shouldn't have been put in the group and this whole mess could have been avoided as them working together was what seems to have made them clash and situations like that happen.

There is two sides of story and honestly I get why lot of groups have disputes especially when they are trainees. Although kpop pretty much requires great teamwork and close ties (at least to appear have those), it's very cut-throat environment where u compete against each other for a spot in the group. And even after debuting there might be fights about line distrubution, camera time, etc. Not liking someone and criticism them isn't same as bullying them, but the line can be bit murky especially if we are talking about young teenagers (I think all of April were minors when they debuted). And what one person sees as bullying the other might not. Still- not saying there wasn't bullying.
