• To cure my depression I need to become a Christian and get baptized (I’m a nonbeliever)

Thankfully I wasn’t born an alcoholic, but oddly enough me and mum are the only members in our family that like guinness.

I’m guessing it’s because of the iron content it has that led midwives to believe expectants should drink it. The even more ironic thing about that is I’m anaemic

Nicotine does suppress appetite, but still a bad idea to smoke to lose weight

That by eating more I would lose weight. Or the 'its just a pizza'.. You can eat it. even though its red meat and I'm trying to watch my ldl levels... lol. Or that cigarettes are actually good for you .

Then there's the whole you'll like it if you try it.

Disabled and chronic-illness person here. I have a ton of things I've been told that either aren't true or are terrible advice.

1) I recently had COVID for the first time and was in the Emergency Room twice in the span of 5 days. The doctor told me there was nothing I could do because I was "fine". I wasn't, my oxygen levels were tanked and my heartrate was super high just sitting in one spot. He told me the only thing he could do was give me tylenol or ibuprofen.

2) 80% of my Doctors tell me that my conditons are because of my weight. Even though my conditions are genetic based and have absolutely nothing to do with my weight.

3) I had a neurologist tell me once that my migraines would be cured if I just drank more celery juice.

I have been refraining from posting here because after having been inquiring on this subject for about 20 years; I've come to the realization that almost everything that's been said out there is bad advice.

I have Fibromyalgia! I've not met someone with CHARGE syndrome before that's actually pretty cool.
