Why do you hate making tomato soup?

I make a lot of tacos. I love tacos, but getting a nice mix of ingredients in means a LOT of dishes.

Do you not use a rice cooker? I disliked making rice before I got a rice cooker.

Pasta? It’s not complicated, but I seem to be pretty bad at timing the pasta and whatever else I’m cooking. I tend to finish one of them quite a bit earlier than the other.

I don’t like cooking with chicken either. The fear of salmonella is strong

I hate the number of dishes making tacos ends up creating.

I don't usually cook so I'm not familiar with the dishes generated from tacos but I'm usually the person to do the dishes (since I didn't cook) so are we talking in the double digits range?

No I use stove which is quite stressful

It kind of depends! Before plating, there's at least the pan I warm the tortilla in, a pan to make the meat in, a pan to saute veggies, a pan for making beans, maybe a rice cooker if we're going full burrito, then the dishes for prepping all those ingredients (like knives for cutting the ingredients, separate cutting boards for veggies and raw meat), and serving utensils for dishing the fillings out.

And I normally try to shove all my cooking into one pan, but if you do that with tacos, then you end up with 90% of the fillings as cold, since the fillings have to be cut down to small enough portions to fit in the tortilla, so it loses heat quickly.

I mean, I still love tacos enough to make them frequently, but it's definitely more of a weekend meal than a weekday meal!

Totally get it. I rarely made rice before I got a rice cooker because it's so much harder to get the cook time right on the stove, IMO.
