What's the best gift you ever received? (1 Viewer)

So in my town there's a sign that points to the library. It looks like this:

I've been going to this library since I was eight btw. We went every week and I picked out books. When I was around nine or ten, I remember having a conversation with my mom where I told her I wanted that sign. I can't remember her exact words but she said something along the lines of "It's illegal to steal it. You want me to go to jail just so you can have a sign?"

Well look what's hanging up in my room many years later

Obviously that's not the library sign. It's a real metal sign though. I'm sure she obtained it legally.

But I was really touched she remembered that conversation

My grandmother helped to buy me a Gamecube for Christmas. It meant a lot since put in a lot of effort and $$$ to afford it.. My mother also worked a lot of extra shifts to put in most of the money for it as well. This was around 2002. Google says it was $199 when it came out.. And minimum wage was like $5 then so because of these factors it meant a lot.

A pair of Korean chopsticks. It could be seen as something very small and mundane by some; but I live in the Caribbean which makes them quite a unique/rare item around. I may be the only guy who regularly eats with Korean chopsticks in all of Puerto Rico.

For me its those sequin pillows that you turn the sequins over and it's a different color. I used them a lot during therapy because it helped calm me down and my mom noticed (since we had a couple sessions together) and bought me emoji ones.

Idk. I'm pretty grateful for any gift I receive. Although when someone sends me flowers it makes me feel touched and super happy.
