they just stand there and look at you, like hello, get lost?!

They dooooo.
other than those two horrifying encounters.
there was one when I was visiting a friend and her backyard was an open field so deers would come and go. There was one that just stood there and stared at us. It was 6pm on a winter evening. >.> that shit was cursing my soul.

Damn. Respect on your friend bc I'm sure that runs through his head every time he goes out. I stan your uncle bc that sounds traumatic luckily I've never hit any deer, I've always been in scenarios where I can swerve to avoid them - a week or 2 ago I had to swerve around one while going to work 🧍‍♀ they just stand there and look at you, like hello, get lost?!

And yes stan my uncle Even tho I’m grown now, he’d still drop everything and help me if I needed it. My second dad practically.
