Appreciation What's your favorite solo album? (1 Viewer)

I'm appreciating Wendy's newest venture this morning, so thought I would ask! And add why! It's less fun when there's just a list of things.


I'll start...
I think this one shows off really well that Wendy can do the lovely ballads we've always known she can do, while also easily tackling other genres. A lot of really great singers seem to get trapped into only doing ballads, which are fine, but rarely have that chart sticking power that a soloist needs to be able to stand on their own.


It's only a single album, but I love that Yuqi's A Page shows off her lovely lower vocals, especially since that wasn't something she got a ton of room to do before this album came out. Plus, it shows she has her own style, separate from (G)I-DLE. Sometimes soloists release work that would totally fit in with their original group, and it's kind of like... why even bother at that point? Let the others smooth out the edges that you're not as good at, you know?


I love all of Yena's albums, tbh, but I went with Good Morning, because it's so cohesive. I like that it suits her style, which we don't see on a lot of soloists, and that all the songs feed into a theme.
