When did you become a kpop stan and what were the first groups you stanned? (2 Viewers)

Late 2015, or early 2016 for me.

The first groups i stanned were...

BTS, Monsta X, EXO and Got7

I still stan(ish) the majority of them.

Seeing as kpop isn’t really big here, I only got into it in 2020. Just like 99% of the Kpop community, BTS were the first group I stanned, on June 21 2020. They were my ult group for a year and a bit and now I am no longer an ARMY.
BLACKPINK were the first GG I stanned, 6 months later. I still Stan them to this day.

I casually listened to a few songs throughout 2019 but I didn't fully get into kpop until September/October 2019. First groups I stanned were Stray Kids, EXO, and NCT.

2010 for me. I didn’t really stan groups because I was already 19 at that point, I was really ill (throat and stomach problems, which I recovered from) and streaming wasn’t a thing. Instead I just followed the recommendations on Youtube and discovered loads of artists in one go. B1A4 debuted in April 2011 though and stole my heart entirely.

2008 and SHINee was the first group I can remember actively stanning. I also really loved SS501 a fuck ton. I really liked Shinhwa too.

I feel old...I also remember liking SNSD, Superjunior and Bigbang. I stopped stanning most of those groups besides SHINee.
