I mean I knew they were born in hospitals and pregnant women had babies in their stomachs so I knew all that

also how they got into the stomach I didn't know, my parents said a man and woman just prayed and then the woman got pregnant and my thought was "oh no wonder sometimes the mom doesn't know who the dad was, that makes sense"

I never got the birds and bees talk either I found out from a graphically and anatomically titled painting of a man and woman "trying to make a baby" (that was part of the title too)

given that this was literally my experience (except how I found out, though I didn't get the birds and bees talk either), I am very much inclined to believe that this is a Bengali thing
