Japanese or Mandarin? An example of both will be below.




I really like both but I like Mandarin more. I think it’s the tonality for me

Chinese scratches my head a bit better but I find japanese easier to speak

Japanese is beautiful and i like the way it sounds and it is also easier to pronounce. Mandarin takes the win for me tho, i find the importance of pitches/tones in pronounciation even if it makes it hard to learn very interesting.

I can't speak either, but I'd rather hear Japanese than Mandarin. The latter sounds a bit harsh to me, with lots of sharp sounds.

Japanese, over Mandarin but all are hard with tone making such a difference.

and like above i am probably biased due to hearing more Japanese.
