Lee Eugene Cause he still a actor i feel like this is just to boost his career
sm models - i feel like it sm testing the water for putting actual trainees within the show not actually putting good ones i feel they wont be good enough

i dont watch this show but sm is never going to send their trainees there. esteem is under sm but their training program is totally different and the main staff does not take part in anyting involving their sub-sompanies. woolim and mystic are affiliated with sm too while fnc has a partnership with them. doesnt mean they are actual trainess under the company.

reality shows are opportunities for small ents to find fame and hype before debuting their new groups. sm already has so many stans and established itself as the no.1 kpop ent so they dont need it. the money distribution isnt even that good with all these members. small companies need this opportunity, sm trainees are probably better trained than the others and all the sm stans will vote for them. besides sm already have pd100 in their basement so its probably useless.

You're right but the show is marketing them as SM trainees to make the show seem more influential, they did the same thing the last two season with the YGK Plus trainees...

There is no upside for sm and they HATE the idea of mnet running groups, let alone perma groups. It has to be the reason no SM group has been on mcountdown for a yearish.
There is really only a status downside similar to what happened to JYP already this year.

first yes esteem is a filial of sm but their lack of skills is not because esteem and sm don't have the same training, but because esteem is a model agency so they don't train their trainee in dancing, singing etc....
secondly no Woolim is no longer a filial of SM they stop theiir deal

No SM will never send any idol in program like this
some Staff already talk about it when the first season of produce 101 was announce, SM prefer to keep the secret about their trainee, and reveal their skills once they debut
