Im just doubtful ever since "Chase Me", yuqi hasnt been as prominent in China as well as the pandemic preventing her visiting in 2020. If she was signed to a chinese agency(or china linked agency) like yiren, id be more optimistic but i dont think yuqi shd put all her eggs in one basket-china.
For wat you say, i think its early 20s celebs who can benefit from qcyn/chuang. Even older celebs i believe find it hard getting traction from shows like the voice china or tat show tat tried to get Faye n Ceci on together, youngsters might not care enuf abt yuqi by the time she returns there unless she's Victoria lvl star in both korea n china by then.
Seems doubtful as she isnt leader, or main singer/dancer/visual/fotg/maknae of gidle. If im pleasantly surprised by the opposite tho, ill cheer her on from afar.

I think its just a marketing gimmick for nostalgic fans to spend money on their faves when they debut, or a stunt for ratings-the idol grp at the end of the show for instance season 1 which ended i think last yr, i nvr heard anything abt in asia impact, tho i dont watch chinese language shows. Maybe i need to google to see if its more or less popular than asia's got talent among chinese language audience.

Ceci n christy are/were huge in the eras they dominated but im unsure whether olders just dint care/dint know abt this show. Maybe if Faye n Ceci were both in season 2 but Faye dint take the bait/rumored big payout to join in.

there were rumours that for s1 they payed ning jing, the most senior, for her to not check over footage that they'll use to pressure the other contestants not to request to do so either
I'm guessing they need a queen bee figure in the show, but having too many would be a problem too, which is maybe why a lot of the s2 sisters are on the younger side and less relevant overall

Well Ceci i thot was a lock to be in the final grp but from the article i linked it seems she is a better actress than dancer(i dont rmbr wat i thot of her acting when she was in her prime, i was more a fan of Anita Yuen n her ilk, gigi leung n faye wong. Later on tang wei in 2 great movies, finding mr right n finding mr right 2: book of love. But ig they arent ever going on Langjie (or would want to do so to revive their flagging acting careers, oh wait maybe they dont need to, either for fame or exposure.) Not judging Ceci tho, maybe she got enticed by the reported huge payout they offered. She is still young n shd strike while the iron is hot. Asia is very unforgiving to aging actresses i think who seem to go out of favor unless they're Lin Ching Hsia or maybe Sally Yeh.
